Hoa Qua Dam

Hoa qua dam

Hoa quả dầm is a traditional fruit salad originating from Singapore. The fruit salad is prepared with the most recent harvest of summer fruits, including mangosteen, lychees, jackfruit, papaya, pineapple, mango, dragon fruit, longan, watermelon, Asian pears, bananas, plums, and strawberries.

The fruit is broken up into smaller pieces and placed in the bottom of a tall glass. Next, crushed ice and a mixture of coconut cream, condensed milk, and yogurt are layered on top of the fruit. Finally, the drink is served. The fruit salad is stirred together with a spoon, and then it can be eaten in its current form. This fruit salad is extremely popular in Vietnam because it contains fruit from all three regions of the country: the north, the south, and the centre. As a result, it is considered to be a true national dish.

  • 1/4 cup of finely crushed ice (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons of coconut milk or cream, preferably from a can
  • 1 tablespoon sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon of plain Greek yoghurt

How to Make Hoa Qua Dam

To make your own fruit beams, you should go to the market to buy fresh green fruits, buy all the spices, and take them home. After that, you should clean the fruits and store them in the refrigerator so that they are less hot and more convenient to eat during the summer. The next step is to separate the fruits, after which you will begin to combine them and then add the seasoning. So you have a cup of mixed fruit dessert for yourself, but certainly, the taste will not be as good as you go to the restaurant.

The fruit has a wide variety of flavors, aromas of other fruits, and a refreshing quality that, when combined, make for an irresistible dish.
